(Although this phrase has currency in Europe, there was only one government violently overthrown in 1989 -- that of Romania. What otherwise occurred 1989-1991 was the overdue collapse of the bankrupt shell of the murderous command-and-control system of Soviet Communism, unfortunately without mass execution of the tyrants, which oversight resulted in the fact that Russia is still run by former KGB killers.) A group of European academics (including Hans-Herman Hoppe) gather to pick apart inconsistencies, "hocus-pocus," and "nonsensical definitions" in the philosophy of the Nobel Prize winner who correctly predicted more than 50 years earlier that Communism could not stand. And indeed, Hayek's definitions of "freedom" and "coercion" were rather odd, justifying a coercive government role in so many aspects of life that Herr Hoppe concludes he differed with the Social Democrats only in suggesting that "the post office might perhaps be privatized." 228 pp. including bibliography. Worin besteht die Originalität der in der Flaubertbiographie «L'idiot de la famille» angewandten regressiv-progressiven Methode Sartres bzw. geht diese Methode insoweit über die bisher angewandten biographischen Verfahren hinaus, daß man von einem Modell sprechen kann? Diese Ausgangsfrage schließt das Problem eines sinnvollen Vergleichs ein, und zwar insofern, als die philosophischen Voraussetzungen des letzten Hauptwerks Sartres für die Gattung Biographie ungewöhnlich sind und ein solcher Vergleich nur sinnvoll sein kann mit einem Theoretiker der Biographie gleichen Niveaus. Ein solches Niveau ist nur noch in Diltheys Theorie und Praxis der Biographie gegeben. Die These: Bei einer verblüffenden Ähnlichkeit der an die Gattung Biographie gestellten Ansprüche geht Sartre in «L'idiot de la famille» insoweit über Diltheys biographische Theorie und Praxis hinaus, daß man von einem methodischen Modell sprechen kann, und zwar durch die Methodenverflechtung von Existentialismus, Marxismus und Psychoanalyse. 164, XXXVIII S., unbenutzt, 282 g schwer,P-3.
