These canvases, accordingto the artist, provided the perfect range of data to deconstruct and reassemble: their compositions are divided intodiscrete interlocking shapes; there are several distinct color palettes operating simultaneously; and they are suffusedwith a myriad of detail. What resulted, when the machine was torqued by a lever that determines degrees of similarityand dissimilarity, were irreal mountain landscapes populated by fragmenting bodies, vestiges of bathers and shepherdssuccumbing to the determinant forces of code.

A mysterious object, testifying to what will surely be our future ruins.

In contrast to the Eclips…e Body and Soul Syntax pictures, these have some degree of uniformity, though there are some digital artifacts and surface interruptions: paper, stickers, paint, rust, rainwater, a hologram, reflective vinyl, screws, ketchup, plants, bird shit, electrical cable.
