So reaktiviert sich teilweise nicht nur das ländliche Leben, sondern die ganze Region wird wieder attraktiver und die Bevölkerungsabnahme endet oder kehrt sich gar wieder um. Über die einzelnen Landprojekte hinaus zeigt dieser Band auch hybride Lebensstile, die städtisches Leben und ländlichen Raum verweben. Dargestellt werden die sehr unterschiedlichen - auch unterschiedlich großen - Projekte Wukania, Gut Temmen, Hof Prädikow, Esperantos, Gut Stolzenhagen, Ökodorf Brodowin, Gut Möglin, Kulturpark Stolpe, Libken und Zöllmersdorf, die sich teils auf dem Grund egemaliger LPG s gründeten. Eingegangen wird jeweils u.a. auf die Geschichte der Gemeinschaften, die Motivation der InitiatorInnen, die Organisation und bestehende Netzwerke. Der Band ist reichhaltig, anschaulich und kontrastreich bebildert. Im vorderen Teil sind Bilder von der Ödnis des Landlebens zwischen industrialisierter Landwirtschaft, Speckgürtel, Straßenbau und Gewerbeansiedlung zu sehen, der Projekteteil ist dann zum Kontrast mit Fotografien der Projekte, die Lebendigkeit, Phantasie und Experimentierfreude ausstrahlen, illustriert.
