Bella legatura coeva in pieno vitello biondo, elegante bordura a fogliame sui piatti, dorso ornato e con titolo su tassello, il tutto in oro, tagli dorati, dentelle int. E' l'edizione italiana del ''Universal System'' elaborato da S.Taylor (1749-1811), metodo nuovo che si basò dal punto di vista linguistico sulle consonanti, prende spunto dai primi saggi stenografici creati nell'antichità dai Greci (Xenofonte e Socrate) e dai romani (Tiron e Cicerone). Trattasi del secondo trattato sulla materia apparso in Italia, dopo gli sviluppi e le trasformazioni di questa scrittura abbreviata avvenuti nei secoli precedenti in Francia e in Inghilterra, molto importante.
