The transcript number, in order of telecast, was c…ompiled and maintained by SECA commencing with the program's move to the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in 1971 although the number does not appear in the issue. This is the transcript of the Firing Line program taped at the South Carolina ETV Network in Columbia on April 23, 1973, and originally telecast on PBS on April 29, 1973. The host was William F. Buckley, Jr.; the topic was "Proposals for Welfare"; the guest was Jimmy Carter, Governor of Georgia. The panelists, all from the University of South Carolina, were Richard Skinner, Graduate Student in International Relations; Margaret Young, Instructor in Foreign Languages; and, Jeffrey Stafford, Graduate Student in American History.
