Black buckram cloth boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine. 310 pp 8vo. This is a son's story of his father who came St. Louis, had a rambunctious childhood, and enlisted in the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) in the Great Depression. After that he became an amateur boxer and later caught on with the St. Louis Screw and Bolt Company where he was promoted to the Tulsa office (Wheatley Brothers Manufacturing) and got married in 1940. In 1942 he enlisted in the Army and went into flight training which took him to Europe where he was a top turret gunner on a B-17. After the war he use his entrepreneurial skills and started Tulsa Screw Products and became a leading businessman in Tulsa. A clean very presentable copy. Inscribed by Author(s).
