This is two plates more than given in the list of illustrations. Endpapers browned. Internally the contents are VG. Externally, the spine is slightly darkened. Spine label damaged affecting the BE of Beeleigh. An almost VG copy of a fairly scarce title., 1924

The plans volume has viii pages of preliminaries followed by 21 linen backed folding plans.Many of these plans extend to 30ins or more when unfolded. The plans include maps for the Suez Canal. Panama Canal and Amsterdam Ship Canal. Also improvements to tidal rivers for rivers Clyde, Tyne and Tees. Please note that the 2nd edition of 1896 ony had 13 plans. A little rubbing to the marbled boards, but overall a VG set in a handsome bi, 1896
