Most developed countries and some developing countries utilize it for financing and hedging credit risks. After the Basel II Accord was released in June 2004, true sale securitization transactions play an increasingly important role for banks to find cheap funding and therefore to gain or increase their competitiveness. All member states of the European Union will implement the Basel II Accord into their domestic laws. German banks and the German Federal Ministry of Finance are seeking new methods and policies to support them. The incentive for this study is provided by the similarities between the German and Chinese financial system. In addition, due to China s commitments to the World Trade Organization (WTO) China is under huge pressures to open its financial market to foreign banks. By analyzing the legal obstacles that lie in true sale securitization transactions in Germany, I will draw some useful lessons for developing securitization in China.

Intercultural competence is as important as facts and figures in order to successfully conduct business overseas. Therefore every employee who is in touch with individuals from different cultural backgrounds ought to be able to manage this intercultural contact. Even though a foreign culture cannot be learned, its main features and characteristics can be observed, analyzed and understood. This book interprets the cultural challenges of German - American cooperation and sensitizes the employees for intercultural matters. The model is accepted and used widely due to its consistence with the standard market formula, Black's cap (floor) formula. This compatibility simplifies the calibration because the Black's quoted prices for standard interest rate derivatives can be directly used as an input for the model. The goal of this book is to examine the Libor Market Model theoretically and apply it practically to the pricing of standard caps, discrete barriers, European swaptions and ratchets. The dynamic of the Libor Market Model will be derived and all steps of its implementation using Monte Carlo simulation will be explained. Implementation is fulfilled using different volatility and correlation structuring. Certain care should be taken when calibrating the Libor Market Model and structuring the forward rate volatilities and correlations as they may affect prices of interest rate derivatives considerably. The book is aimed at graduate students of finance and practitioners implementing this model in practice.

Neuware - The book focuses on Schema Matching, the task of (semi-)automatically identifying semantic correspondences between elements of metadata structures, such as, database schemas, ontologies, and XML message formats. It is of key importance for interoperability and data integration in numerous applications, such as data warehousing, integration of web-sources, message mapping in E-business, and ontology alignment on the Semantic Web. However, in today's systems, schema matching is still manual; a time-consuming, tedious, and error-prone process, which becomes increasingly impractical considering the high complexity and number of schemas and data sources to be dealt with.In this book, the author Do Hong Hai describes the architecture, functionality, and evaluation of the schema matching system COMA++ (Combining Matchers), which was developed by himself in his Ph.d thesis. COMA++ represents a generic and customizable system for semi-automatic schema matching, which can combine different match algorithms in a flexible way. In comprehensive evaluations using large real-world schemas and ontologies, COMA++ has shown high quality as compared to the state of the art, proving its practicability for different domains. In addition, the book describes a new data integration approach, GenMapper (Generic Mapper), which utilizes instance-level correspondences between objects of data sources.
