This book provides a historical exploration of the decline of the Church in Wales, examining the alienation of Welsh-speakers from its ministry and the resulting rise of nonconformity. The author argues that the Church's failure to adapt to the linguistic and cultural needs of the Welsh people has been a major factor in its loss of influence. By analyzing the relationship between language, religion, and nationality, the book sheds light on the importance of cultural sensitivity in preserving religious communities and offers insights into the enduring relationship between faith and national identity.
