This book journeys back to the world of the Protestant pastors of 16th and 17th century France, presenting an intriguing insight into their training, daily life, and the values that shaped their service. The author draws back the curtain on a time when aspiring pastors had to navigate a rigorous process of education, grounded in both theology and secular knowledge, before undergoing challenging examinations to prove their proficiency.
