This carefully documented book presents dozens of incredible yet unimpeachable cases of ordinary men and women who were suddenly caught up in events stranger than the wildest science fiction.".

Ajouter au panierHardcover. Etat : Near Fine. Etat de la jaquette : Near Fine. 1st Edition. Situation Red, The UFO Siege!, by Leonard H. Stringfield with a forward by Major Donald E. Keyhoe. Signed first edition, 1977, Doubleday & Co. Stated first edition in excellent condition with an excellent dustjacket that shows some slight yellowing after 44 years. According to his notes on the DJ, Stringfield first became interested in UFOs after he saw one while flying a C46 near Iwo Jima during World War II. He was the director of CRIFO (Civilian Research, Interplanetary Flying Objects) and publisher of its newsletter, ORBIT, from 1953 to 1957. He then became the public relations director for NICAP (National Investigation Committee on Aerial Phenomena) from 1957 to 1970. He worked there with Keyhoe, who was described as one of the country s best known UFO researchers. The DJ says Stringfield was working in 1977 as an executive with DuBois Chemicals, a Cincinnati-based firm that is now headquartered in the Cincinnati suburb of Sharonville. The firm was acquired in 2019 by Atlas Partners, which is based in Toronto. Although I have no way to document the signature, I have no reason to doubt its authenticity. $850.00. Signed by Author(s).
