Ajouter au panierMass Market Paperback. Fine in Wraps: binding square and secure; text clean. Virtually 'As New'. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 12mo. 182pp. Copyright 1979. Mass Market Paperback. This novel was based on a short story of the same title which was nominated for the 1977 Nebula award. Doubleday published a Hardcover copy in 1979. This is the First Ace edition, first printing thus. We have seen references to a 1955 edition. This is clearly in error, as Mr. Bischoff was at that time four years old.David F. Bischoff (born December 15, 1951) writes science fiction books, short stories, and scripts for television. Though he has been writing since the early 1970s, and has had over 80 books published, Bischoff is best known for novelizations of popular movies and TV series including the Aliens, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, Star Trek: The Next Generation, and WarGames. He began writing science fiction, and reviews of the genre while studying at the University of Maryland. His first publications were at a Thrust, a Fanzine offering science fiction commentary and criticism. The editor, Doug Fratz, later turned Thrust into a trade magazine, where Bischoff was a regular contributor. His first novel, The Seeker was published in 1976, and in 1978 Bischoff wrote Tin Woodman, a notable short story nominated for a Nebula Award in that year, and later adapted into both a novel and TV episode for Star Trek: The Next Generation. First Ed thus; First Printing indicated.
