The book focuses on the descendants of Timothy Edwards and his wife, Rhoda Ogden, giving particular detail to notable members of the family like Timothy Dwight, President of Yale College, and Aaron Burr, Vice President of the United States of America. The author, a descendant of William Edwards, assembles entries from many family Bibles, Colonial and Revolutionary War records, military and state records, courthouse and church registries, and cemetery inscriptions.
