This book documents the first thoroughly researched retrospective of works by the James Henderson (1871-1951) and is lavishly illustrated with portraits and landscape paintings. Born in Glasgow, Henderson moved to Canada in 1910. Living in Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, he was commissioned by the University of Saskatchewan to paint a series of portraits of individuals of the Western tribes. These portraits were exhibited nationally and internationally throughout his lifetime. Additional shipping will be required for this large heavy book.

Leaves clean and bright with numerous illustrations, landscapes, portraits, photographs, etc. Tight binding. Near fine condition. James Henderson (1871-1951) was born in Glasgow, Scotland and his works are influenced by Scottish Impressionists. He moved to Canada in 1909 and became well-known as a painter of First Nations portraits.
