Rare book on French Art Deco designer Ruhlmann and his connection to Portugal, namely a visit by Portuguese royalty to the seminal 1925 Decorative Arts in Salon i…n Paris, and the subsequent design commission of Ruhlmann for the Casa de Serralves in Portugal. Extensively researched and exquisitely printed, with generous color plates and period photos of Ruhlmann designs in both furniture and decorative arts, including works in painting and other media that were chosen by Atelier Ruhlmann to complement his interior design of the Casa de Serralves. Beautiful book, most highly recommended. My last copy.
