The covers have some mild soiling and wear. The binding is good and sound. There is an inked name inscription and some penciled bookseller notations to the front fep. The interior is lightly toned from age with some occasional light foxing and grubbiness. Along with that there may be the occasional page with kind of other minor imperfection such as a minor interior crack, other tiny chip or tear, minor stain or marking, etc. The book measures approximately 7 1/2 inches by 5 inches and is 344 pages long with some additional pages of ads.

A narrative of the author travels across Canada mainly by train, with attractive illustrations of both trains and views along the way and good descriptions of the country as it was.
