Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - On behalf of the program and organizing committee members of this conference, we th are pleased to present you with the proceedings of the 12 Asia-Pacific Computer Systems Architecture Conference (ACSAC 2007), which was hosted in Seoul, Korea on August 23-25, 2007. This conference has traditionally been a forum for leading researchers in the Asian, American and Oceanian regions to share recent progress and the latest results in both architectural and system issues. In the past few years the c- ference has become more international in the sense that the geographic origin of p- ticipants has become broader to include researchers from all around the world, incl- ing Europe and the Middle East. This year, we received 92 paper submissions. Each submission was reviewed by at least three primary reviewers along with up to three secondary reviewers. The total number of completed reviews reached 333, giving each submission 3.6 reviews on average. All the reviews were carefully examined during the paper selection process, and finally 26 papers were accepted, resulting in an acceptance rate of about 28%. The selected papers encompass a wide range of topics, with much emphasis on hardware and software techniques for state-of-the-art multicore and multithreaded architectures.

Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - This conference marked the rst time that the Asia-Paci c Computer Systems Architecture Conference was held outside Australasia (i. e. Australia and New Zealand), and was, we hope, the start of what will be a regular event. The conference started in 1992 as a workshop for computer architects in Australia and subsequently developed into a full- edged conference covering Austra- sia. Two additional major changes led to the present conference. The rst was a change from 'computer architecture' to 'computer systems architecture', a change that recognized the importance and close relationship to computer arc- tecture of certain levels of software (e. g. operating systems and compilers) and of other areas (e. g. computer networks). The second change, which re ected the increasing number of papers being submitted from Asia, was the replacement of 'Australasia' with 'Asia-Paci c'. This year's event was therefore particularly signi cant, in that it marked the beginning of a truly 'Asia-Paci c' conference. It is intended that in the future the conference venue will alternate between Asia and Australia/New Zealand and, although still small, we hope that in time the conference will develop into a major one that represents Asia to the same - tent as existing major computer-architecture conferences in North America and Europe represent those regions.

Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - On behalf of the program committee, we were pleased to present this year's program for ACSAC: Asia-Paci c Computer Systems Architecture Conference. Now in its ninth year, ACSAC continues to provide an excellent forum for researchers, educators and practitioners to come to the Asia-Paci c region to exchange ideas on the latest developments in computer systems architecture. This year, the paper submission and review processes were semiautomated using the free version of CyberChair. We received 152 submissions, the largest number ever.Eachpaperwasassignedatleastthree, mostlyfour, andinafewcaseseven ve committee members for review. All of the papers were reviewed in a t- monthperiod, duringwhichtheprogramchairsregularlymonitoredtheprogress of the review process. When reviewers claimed inadequate expertise, additional reviewers were solicited. In the end, we received a total of 594 reviews (3.9 per paper) from committee members as well as 248 coreviewers whose names are acknowledged in the proceedings. We would like to thank all of them for their time and e ort in providing us with such timely and high-quality reviews, some of them on extremely short notice.

Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - On behalf of the ProgramCommittee, we are pleased to present the proceedings of the 2005 Asia-Paci c Computer Systems Architecture Conference (ACSAC 2005) held in the beautiful and dynamic country of Singapore. This conference was the tenth in its series, one of the leading forums for sharing the emerging research ndings in this eld. In consultation with the ACSAC Steering Committee, we selected a - member Program Committee. This Program Committee represented a broad spectrum of research expertise to ensure a good balance of research areas, - stitutions and experience while maintaining the high quality of this conference series. This year's committee was of the same size as last year but had 19 new faces. We received a total of 173 submissions which is 14% more than last year. Each paper was assigned to at least three and in some cases four ProgramC- mittee members for review. Wherever necessary, the committee members called upon the expertise of their colleagues to ensure the highest possible quality in the reviewing process. As a result, we received 415 reviews from the Program Committee members and their 105 co-reviewers whose names are acknowledged inthe proceedings.Theconferencecommitteeadopteda systematicblind review process to provide a fair assessment of all submissions. In the end, we accepted 65 papers on a broad range of topics giving an acceptance rate of 37.5%. We are grateful to all the Program Committee members and the co-reviewers for their e orts in completing the reviews within a tight schedule.

Ajouter au panierTaschenbuch. Etat : Neu. Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - On behalf of all of the people involved in the program selection, the program committee members as well as numerous other reviewers, we are both relieved and pleased to present you with the proceedings of the 2006 Asia-Pacific Computer Systems Architecture Conference (ACSAC 2006), which is being hosted in Shanghai on September 6-8, 2006. This is the 11th in a series of conferences, which started life in Australia, as the computer architecture component of the Australian Computer Science Week. In 1999 it ventured away from its roots for the first time, and the fourth Australasian Computer Architecture Conference was held in the beautiful city of Sails (Auckland, New Zealand). Perhaps it was because of a lack of any other computer architecture conference in Asia or just the attraction of traveling to the Southern Hemisphere but the conference became increasingly international during the subsequent three years and also changed its name to include Computer Systems Architecture, reflecting more the scope of the conference, which embraces both architectural and systems issues. In 2003, the conference again ventured offshore to reflect its constituency and since then has been held in Japan in the beautiful city of Aizu-Wakamatsu, followed by Beijing and Singapore. This year it again returns to China and next year will move to Korea for the first time, where it will be organized by the Korea University.
