Spine just slightly darkened, top edges slightly dusty, faint browning to endpapers, list of illustrations page lightly creased, very small crease to a few top corners, no inscriptions. Very good plus copy (lacking dustwrapper). Entertaining story: another Alice (a distant cousin of the 'real' one) visits another fairy wonderland to learn about the symphony orchestra with humanised musical instruments. First published in the U.S.A. in 1925, this UK first is uncommon. See Lovett 1103 but this entry does not mention our edition, only the U.K. reissue under the title Alice in Orchestra Land published 1934 with illustrations by Malcolm Easton. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. The pages are lightly age-toned and mostly clean with light foxing at the outer margin of pages 56 & 57, some light smudging to the half title page, and some light tanning and foxing to the end papers and pastedowns. Name written in pencil on the front end paper. Overall the book is in Very Good- condition.
