Celle-ci a été publiée simultanément à une édition lyonnaise (Pierre Rigaud). Ces diverses éditions se rencontrent rarement. Cabrol (1529-1603), originaire de Gaillac, fut professeur et chirurgien à Montpellier. Il devint dissecteur du roi Henri IV, puis son premier chirurgien. Il se servait de cet ouvrage dans ses cours, car la rédaction sous forme de tables s'y prêtait particulièrement. La fin de l'ouvrage rapporte 33 observations médicales et de dissection, scrupuleusement décrites : dans la n° XX, qui rapporte le cas d'une jeune fille dont l'urine s'écoule par l'ouraque, Cabrol formule une condamnation à l'encontre de Paré, "très docte chirurgien, & bien expert en l'anatomie, qui doute s'il y a d'ouraque ou non, outre que ceste partie est très aisée à reconnaître, principalement ès jeunes enfants" (p. 93-94).
