A very good copy with d/w of the re-issue edition of 1936, with a frontispiece, numerous other plates with illustrations from photographs, 22 text figures, a sketch map, a chart, and a large folding coloured map, xxxiipp, 397pp., publisher's buckram cloth gilt that show ssigns of damp marking. Foreword by TE Lawrence. Despite some signs of damp marking this remains a reasonable copy and is priced accordingly.

Hard Cover. Etat : Good. Illustrated, pp xvi, 304, several pages lightly bruised at the top corner, the title page fox blotched, a large folding map at rear, decorated parchment-like boards, slightly bowed and marked, the spine dull and age-toned.

Hardcover. Etat : Good. No Jacket. 1932 later printing. Sound hinges. All pages lightly toned (age tanned), completely clean and undamaged. Spine is faded from sun exposure as are narrow bands across the edges of front and back covers. Very little soiling to front cover or spine. The back cover also has very little soiling but it does have a small cluster of spots in the upper center of the cover and one tiny dot near the top edge. There is also a 1/8" to 1/4" long ink line on the spine. None of the book's corners are bumped. A little wear to the top edge of the spine. A very nice copy bordering on VG condition.
