This is a 1930 Automobile Club of Southern California fishing and road map of Lake Tahoe and the Feather River, California. Coverage extends from Spring Garden south to Lake Mono and Yosemite Valley. The map is unique in its details presentation of premium angling sites in the Feather River Valley and High Sierra. A Fishing Map! While essentially a road map, this maps greatest utility is as a fishing guide. This is an informative map highlighting the best angling sites. Hotels, resorts, and camp along principal rivers are also identified. The Feather River remains one of the Central Valley's best fishing destinations, especially for steelhead and salmon. Publication History and Census This map was created and published by the Automobile Club of Southern California in 1930. We note three OCLC catalog entries dating from the early 1920s through the 1930s. These reference the University of California San Diego, Stanford University, and the University of California Los Angeles. Examples of this map are scarce on the private market.
