John William Fletcher (1729-1785) was an English divine and Methodist leader. His Equal Checks and Scripture Scales - which clearly sets out his Arminian standpoint and supports Wesley further - was the first distinctively Wesleyan theological work published by someone other than John of Charles Wesley.    .
