Book itself quite nice - clean and sound, inside and out. DJ clean but problems incl. moderate-sized chips missing at the spine-ends and lower corners (with publisher's name absent at base of spine + publisher's name partially absent along bottom edge of back panel + tiny chip and tiny rub affecting two letters of title at center of spine). Also, 2 dj tears to front panel: one over 2 inches long up from lower corner affecting red border and white background only & another more significant tear across entire top edge affecting "Best" in title and the color image of Lee Chapel's "Tornado", this strip having been loose and laid-in, now carefully re-affixed using tape to the unprinted side of the dj. Additionally, a dime-sized scuff affects list of titles on back panel of dj. Numerous articles. Numerous vehicles featured. Lots of photos: Santa Ana Drags, Orange County Racing Association, California Roadster Association, Bonneville cars, speed equipment pages at the rear. I'm also selling (for what it's worth & please inquire): matched pair of unused 1956 California license plates, black numerals on deep yellow-gold background, pretty much pristine.
