From the library of the former ornithologist Geoffrey Bevan with his ink name and date inscription to the head of the front end papers. Illustrated with 850 color portaits and numerous b/w photographic images throughout. Bound in green cloth with gilt embossed lettering to the front board and spines. Maps to the end papers. There is some fading to the spines with a little dulling to the gilt on the spines and light fading to the head and of the rear board and to the edge adjacent to the spine strip of Volume II. Light/slight bumps to three board corners of both volumes with slight creasing to the adjacent page corners of Volume II. Previous booksellers stamp to the tail of the title pages. There is a strip of toning to the front inner hinge of Volume II. Both volumes are clean and tight. A very good minus copy.
