However, if you don't fall into that category - I would suggest getting some experience with Java first (there are plenty of books which can help there) - before getting hold of this book. If you're new to mobile development or new to cell phone development, The Busy Coder's Guide to Android Development will get you started fast. It covers all of the basics, and gets you far enough to be able to be productive using Google's documentation. What more could you ask?
