Ajouter au panierEtat : Fair. This is a 6 volume edition; the spine labels indicate that each volume contains two original volumes. This edition is undated, but probably mid-1850's based on various dates within the text. Binding is the original calf spines and corner tips over marbled boards; all edges are also marbled. NOTE: The spines of most volumes are deteriorated and the covers are often detached, making this either a reading copy or a candidate for rebinding. There are no internal or external markings; the spines are deteriorted, and most covers are detached, or nearly so. There is some light age toning to the page margins. Most illustrations are at the head and the end of each selection, though there are some with illustrations within the selection. No overall pagination, but each selection is about 30 pages with 16 selections in each of the 6 volumes. Some articles I found interesting: Australia and Its Gold Regions, v. 1-2; History of the Moon, v. 3-4; Search for Sir John Franklin, v. 5-6; History of the Mormons, v. 7-8 (Ref: Flake 1251); Fur Trade and the Hudson's Bay Company, v. 9-10; A Visit to the Himilaya, v. 11-12 Priority and International will be extra, please inquire if you would like more information.; B&W Illustrations; 16mo 6" - 7" tall.
