Boards shaken with slender splits at front joint's head and heel but strong near lengthwise split to rear joint; approximate 1cm loss at spine head with small chip at bumped spine heel; board corners worn. Interior binding still firm. Soiling to endpapers; pencil signature on front pastedown; strong pencil writing on half-title; strong foxing to initial and terminal leaves but with mostly light to occasionally mild foxing to interior text leaves. B/w illustrations inset amongst text. Strong crease to bottom corner of pages 191-192. Still a good antiquarian copy.
