Dakers (1905-78), was distantly descended from the Jane Lane who had aided the escape of King Charles II after his defeat at the Battle of Worcester in 1651, and thus took her ancestress's name as her nom de plume. Her beautifully written and exciting historical novels for children were mostly written from a Catholic and Royalist perspective. A heavy set, extra postage might be required.
