(approbatio 1853), 13,5 x 9 cm, double-page color lithographic frontispiece (Lambert pinx. , Engelman & Graf impr.), each page with a decorative border. 667 pp., with 3 full page chromolithographs of which two printed by Moulin, three full page steelengravings (Rouargues), num. vignettes.Contemporary full brown morroco, both covers with an intricate pattern initials in blindtooling in the central recess, gilt metal clasps and corner protections, all edges gilt and marbled, endpapers in red watered silk decorated with gilt fillet. Perfectly preserved luxurious mid 19th century French binding on a quite rare devotional edition, kept in the original silk lined box (with the same initials).
