Soft blue pictorial card covers with minor rubbing/chipping to edges/spine, very minor soiling/scuffing, slight patchy fading. Contents clean and tight but for very slight soiling/creasing. Charming colour illustrations throughout. Copy of a lovely children's booklet originally published in 1851-52 to cash in on public interest in the Great Exhibition, held at the Crystal Palace in 1851. It tells the tale of Prince Albert's part in getting the project off the ground, and describes some of the wonderous exhibits, all in the form of a verse similar to ''The House That Jack Built''.
