Small enough to slide into your spandex bike shorts.

In this booklet, bicycle terminology is used as a basis for an illustration that generally has nothing to do with the bicycle object itself. So for "Sweater", depicte…d is a man besieged by the sun. "Waiting Race" shows a Chinese man seeking to get into the U.S. but blocked by a padlocked door. This latter speaks to a topicality, as well as a Rascist tinge, to a few of the entries. `One of the entries, in fact, is "Races", and here are shown stereotypical images of a black man, an Asian man, a Jew. The Rascism in some of the images can be even more blatant, as in the entry "Goo Goo", which shows a black man with wildly exaggerated lips. Needless to say, some of the humor is irretrievably dated, and not just the rascist and anti-Semitic material. And quite a few terms are obsolete in terms of bicycling. Yet this captures a forgotten aspect of bicycle culture, and specifically its lingo, as well. Condition: wraps are soiled, fragile and brittle, chipped in a corner, torn along joint and detached. Age toning to leaves.
