First Edition trade paperback octavo, excellent B&W cover art by Stephen Fabian, 96 pp. Weird menace tales were a sub-category of the old pulps such as Terror Tales, Horror Stories, Dime Mystery & Thrilling Mystery. The focus was on eerie gruesome horror, evil villains, action, and entertainment. Weinberg produced 6 limited edition weird menace books, featuring the best of the tales with original illustrations. Weird menace pulps ran until the early 1940s when censorship was partly responsible for their demise. Issue # 9 features the classic title novelette by Norvell Page, "Daughter of the Plague" by Hugh B. Cave, and "Tiger Pit" by Arthur J. Burks. This copy is fine except for my name-stamp on the blank back of the front cover.
