The developed formula can be used by the communicators, writers and authors to know the grade level of the writing. Hence, it would be possible to modify the level of difficulty to suit to the required literacy level of the readers. The formula will be particularly helpful for prior testing of material before publishing it for the benefit of readers in general and farmers in particular. By using the present readability formula, it is also possible to analyze the already published extension literature and other publications to determine their suitability to the intended readers.
