Hardcover. Etat : new. Hardcover. Editing Mediaeval Texts from a Different Angle contains aselection of papers delivered at two workshops devoted to particularcases of text editing: the ATTEMT Workshop held at Kings College,London (19-20 December 2013) explored issues involved in the edition oftexts with a multilingual tradition… (covering Greek, Latin, Syriac,Arabic, and Slavonic), while the ATTEST Workshop (University ofRegensburg, 11-12 December 2015) dealt with tradition and innovation inthe field of palaeoslavistic text editing. Central to the discussionsreflected in this volume are general questions on variability, textualdependency and transformation, as well as methodological issues raisedby the encounter of different scholarly traditions in ecdotics and bythe advent of the digital. The volume opens with a honorarysection for Prof. Francis J. Thomson, who in his influential scholarlywork has focused on mediaeval Slavonic translation literature. Thesection not only contains his rich academic bibliography, but also achronological Checklist of Slavonic Translations from the 9th century upto the immediate post-Petrine period (1725-1730).
