Spine with printed label. = A rare part of the Ultimate Encyclopaedia and the largest of all great Encyclopaedias and the most important work published during the French Enlightement. This section - complete in itself - written by the French writer and editor Jacques Lacombe (1721-1811), who was responsible for many sections of the famous Encyclopédie Méthodique (e.g., Arts et Métiers Mecaniques, Arts aratoires, etc.). This is the complete text and atlas. The atlas was published first. Both parts are rare. The binding, in historical style, is sound, with the label resembling those of the publisher's. Speckled edges. = A rare part of the Ultimate Encyclopaedia and the largest of all great Encyclopaedias and the most important work published during the French Enlightement. This section - complete in itself - written by the French writer and editor Jacques Lacombe (1721-1811), who was responsible for many sections of the famous Encyclopédie Méthodique (e.g., Arts et Métiers Mecaniques, Arts aratoires, etc.). This is the complete text and near complete atlas. Lacking is plate 6, which is one of several plates illustrating fish hooks. All plates showing fishing activities and fishery scenes are present. Interno freschissimo e pulito. Antica riparazione con inserto di carta simile verso delle planches 101 e 102: un lavoro ben fatto, quasi impercettibile recto; 280 x 210 mm le carte. Rara seconda edizione, stampata in Italia, contraffazione dell'originale parigina. Pregevolmente stampata, completa, con le tavole fedelmente reimpresse sugli originali da Pietro Scattaglia. Edizione non autorizzata del «Dictionaire de toutes les especes de peches», pubblicato senza nome (ma del poligrafo francese Lacombe) a Parigi da Henri Agasse nel 1795, con l'atlante delle tavole uscito nel 1798 «chez Panckoucke», nell'ambito della monumentale «Encyclopédie méthodique» Panckoucke.
