The unclipped dustjacket is slightly rubbed at the extremities, with several small tears and creases, and moderate sun-fading to the spine; protected in archival Mylar. There are a few clear tape repairs to the back of the dustjacket. Photograph of Hemingway, "taken at the Spanish Front," by Joris Ivens, appears on the back cover. Minor soiling to the top edge of the text. There is minor soiling to the copyright page, and to the margins of a few pages, but the text is otherwise clean and unmarked.
