Born in 1948 in the United States, Hague has made a significant impact in the field of illustration. He was influenced by artists such as Prince Valiant, Disney, Hiroshige, Hokusai, Arthur Rackham, W. Heath Robinson, N. C. Wyeth, and Howard Pyle.
