The Royal Public Rooms were opened in 1820, and saw many notable attractions, including balls, and two concerts given by Swedish Nightingale Jenny Lind in 1847. The performers at this 1900 concert include Lilian Haymes, Jessie Beer, H. Stafford Moass, Harry J. England, William Evins, and W. F.
