Issued in 7 parts from June to December 1918 (all published). Illustrated with drawings and photos. The Balloons were used to spot for the artillery on the battlefield and their personnel had only a rudimentary parachute to jump out if they came under attack. Uncommon and in very good condition with minor damage to edges of spine. Loosely inserted is a drawing of 2 men, dated 1918, one of whom is holding a symbol for telegraphy(?) and the other is adjacent to the drawing of a balloon. Page 27 has a photo of "Our Concert Party" with Tommy Handley (of ITMA fame). Top board has some water staining. Uncommon.
