Not the most wonderful copy, but uncommon. Jean-Baptiste Perrin (fl. 1767 - 1798) was born in France and later emigrated to Dublin. He began publishing books about learning French, and his earliest work seems to have been Essai sur l'origine et l'antiquité des langues, which was published anonymously in 1767. His Entertaining and Instructive Exercises, alluded to in the title, was first published in the early 1770s, and at least another ten editions appeared during the 18th century. ESTC N2408 locates only the copy at Princeton.
