Ajouter au panierSoft cover. Etat : Near Fine. 1st Edition. First edition, second print, paperback. Bloomsbury 1997. Inscribed on a bookplate to the title page by JK Rowling with the words 'To Betty, with best wishes J.K.Rowling (a.k.a. Marian's niece!). The signature is an early to mid-1998 signature style, with the periods still present after the 'J' and the 'K'. Rowling dispensed with the periods sometime in mid-1998, as she needed to sign more books and the periods slowed her signing speed. Marian - referred to by the author in the bookplate - is Jo's aunt Marian Fox. The book is in very good condition, with no ownership name or scribbles; toning to the page edges and text block, as is common with this title. No creases to the covers and no reading crease to the spine. Pages are toned, but in lovely condition, with no tears or dog-eared pages. Long but barely visible indent on lower cover. The spine is sunned; sunning also to a portion of the lower cover. Partially loosened security label adhered to the verso of the lower cover. Book originally purchased by myself from The Harry Potter Specialist. Inscribed by Author(s).

Ajouter au panierSoft cover. Etat : Fine. First paperback edition, very early fifteenth printing of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, signed and inscribed by the author ['To Amanda, Best wishes, J.K. Rowling'] on the dedication page. This copy features the very early signature variation when Rowling was still using periods to separate the 'J' and the 'K' in her signature. She dispensed with these in late summer of 1998 to create a more fluid signature. The book is inscribed to the original recipient and presents a lovely example of this rare signature variation. It has been fully authenticated by J.K. Rowling signature expert Adam Houston of The Harry Potter Specialist and comes with a Letter of Authenticity (LoA) and a collector's card with interesting details. The book is in very fine, unread condition. The boards are excellent, with only very minor fading towards the spine, vibrant colours and without the usual laminate issues. Only the lower front corner tip is very slightly pushed; the other corner tips and spine ends are still very sharp. The binding is very tight, and the pages are bright and clean, without inscriptions, names, dog-ears, or other flaws .Comes in a half-leather clamshell box. A highly collectible copy of a very early signed and inscribed first edition. Inscribed by Author(s).
