Ajouter au panierSoft cover. Etat : Very Good. Mary GrandPré (illustrateur). 1st Edition. An Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) is an uncorrected proof of a book about to be published. They are usually sent to book sellers, editors and reviewers prior to public release. Many of these books were read and often thrown away or damaged due to Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling being fairly unknown at that time, particularly before the release of the first book. There is an estimated 3000 of each of the US ARC books printed. The Prisoner of Azkaban ARC, you may notice that it doesn't not bear the usual cover art and instead has a purple and black diamond pattern. This is because Mary GranPre the illustrator os the US books had not finished the cover art by the time this ARC was published, because Scholastic changed the publishing date to earlier than expected. The publishing information on the rear cover shows us that there were 500,000 first printing copies to be printed. By this time, Harry Potter was getting more and more popular and therefore more printings of the book were needed to supply the growing demand. This book is in very good condition with full colours to the spine, front and back covers. It has some obvious shelf wear, some creasing to the front and back cover. The binding is square and fairly tight and there are no creases at all down the spine. Internally clean with no ownership inscriptions or any unwanted pen marks. Overall a fantastic addition to anyone's collection.

Ajouter au panierHardcover. Etat : Fine. Etat de la jaquette : As New. 1st Edition. This particular book is signed by J.K. Rowling in blue ball point pen to the dedication page. Signed copies of Prisoner of Azkaban are very scarce in any printing, with the popularity of Harry Potter, Jo had stopped doing as many signing events as she had done previously and instead Bloomsbury started sending out signed bookplates to book stores to help promote the book. This is a 2000 variation of Rowling's signature and was signed at Perth Railway Station on July 11, 2000, three days following the publication of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as apart of her Hogwarts Express Book Tour. The book presented here are in beautiful condition the pages are bright and clean with no obvious toning to the page edges, internally no inscriptions or marks of any kind. The book is unread, the boards are square with sharp corners with no foxing of any kind. Aside from some minor bumping to the base of the spine, this is is a fine copy. The dust jacket itself is in perfect condition with no creasing or fading of any kind. The signature comes fully authenticated by Adam Houston theHarryPotterspecialist the world s leading expert in authenticating Jo s signature. It comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity and collector card. Signed by Author(s).

Ajouter au panierSoft cover. Etat : Near Fine. 1st Edition. Uncorrected proof copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, One of only 150 copies to exist, many of which are believed to have been read and discarded by the reviewers who Bloomsbury sent the books out to pre-publication. Only recently in January 2025 a memo was found dated 14th January 1999 from Roz de la Hay at Bloomsbury Head Office. The memo discusses the print run and discloses the exact number of copies between the purple proof (being only 31 copies) and the green proof (being 150 copies printed). Previously to this memo being found, collectors and Harry Potter experts believed there were 50 purple copies and 250 green copies printed. This is an unread copy in exceptional condition. A stunning copy, with sharp edges and an incredibly square and tight binding. Some minor white patching visible on the green of the front cover and spine but aside from that this is a fine copy. The page edges are pure white and crisp, no internal writing or marks of any kind. No bowing or creasing to the front or rear wrapper - this book has hardly been opened, never mind read. It comes housed in a dark green quarter leather clamshell box made by the Chelsea Bindery specifically for this book with bespoke gold lettering to the spine.

There were said to be three states but third is now largely accepted to be the first Australian edition. This copy has J.K. The book and dust jacket presented here are in fine condition with no fading at all, the pages are bright and clean with no inscriptions or marks of any kind. The book is unread, the binding is tight, the boards are square with sharp corners with no foxing of any kind. The pages are clean and free from any creases, marks, ownership inscriptions or writing of any kind. The page edges are free from any toning, which is extremely rare with these books as the paper stock was of very poor quality. The book and dust jacket are in pristine condition with no flaws at all. There are reported to be 5000 first printing copies across both states, however the exact split is not known. This is a rare book which is getting harder and harder to find in such perfect condition.

This particular copy was signed in black ball point pen and is characteristic of J.K. Rowling's 1999 signature variation. The book is in near fine condition. It is unread, the boards are square with sharp corners and no unwanted markings to the front or back. There is some minor evidence of bruising to the spine tip and base keeping it out of the fine condition category. Ajouter au panierThe first edition, first impression of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban in the exceedingly rare first state, which is distinguishable by the Joanne Rowling credit on the copyright page and the dropped text on page 7. Only 500 copies of the first state are estimated to have been printed before the printers error was uncovered making the first state of Azkaban extraordinarily rarer. Alongside the scarcity, this edition is now hard to find in tip top condition. Most fine copies are now locked away in collections of devoted fans and investors, making the present example all the more sought after. A strong investment piece. Description and Condition: First edition, first impression, first state in a near-fine example of the dustjacket. All first state points are present. Internally the book is incredibly fresh. Easily one of the cleanest copies on the market and certainly thefreshest I have offered for sale (and as an expert in Potter first editions, I have offered a few now).
