First trade edition of this facsimile reproduction of a fourteenth-century illustrated collection of biblical and apocryphal stories produced by an unidentified Dominican friar, originally held in Holkham Hall, Norfolk and now owned by the British Library. 4to. 191pp + xlii plates. Printed on mould-made vellum paper and bound in half niger morocco with a leather fore-edge, five raised bands and blind-decorated parchment sides. Fore- and bottom edges untrimmed. The facsimile plates printed by the Oxford University Press. A little wear to the tips of two upper corners, and a touch of light further chafing to one other extremity. Very good indeed.
