A scarce work, extensively illustrated. Boards detached. Scuffing and wear. Chipping and rubbing at edges and on hinges, bumping and tearing at corners. Discolouration to spine and some loss at head and tail. Cracking along spine, partially split, though binding just holding in centre and textblock still holding albeit very strained, with one or two gatherings of leaves a little out of position, but again, holding. Some browning, scuffing and other marking to page edges. Previous owner name in pencil to front pastedown, several numbers in coloured pencil to recto of front free endpaper. A little hand-colouring to frontispiece. Some marking to page surfaces and occasional light foxing and offsetting but no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information. 420 pp. n.
