The book was the basis for the 1994 film of the same name starring Tom Cruise as well as the 2022 AMC television series. It was followed by a series of popular sequels (The Vampire Chronicles) that ran to a dozen more books, the last being released in 2018.

She explained her worries about the casing of Lestat , until she saw the finished film she didn't feel Tom Cruise was right for the part, but was won over by his performance. She loved Brad Pitt's Louis , Pitt's Louis was more passive then the louis in the novel . This is a very scarce Anne Rice booklet and signed & dated by her. Condition Very Fine.
