The baby sculpture is reproduced in full in a horizontal doublespread image within the journal. Country Life Magazine commenced publication in 1897 and these early issues have become highly collectable and a valuable reference to the house owners of today, architects, restorers and renovators and anyone interested in the history of the building. They have an extensive write up with pictures of the Hall (interior & exterior) as it was at that time. These issues are in very good condition with a lovely portrait frontpiece of The Hon. Katherine Palmer, Miss Osyth Vere Napier Leeston, Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, Miss Annabel Asquith and Lady Mary Lindesay-Bethune. Country Life (illustrateur).

Karl Schmidt-Rottluff (19051976) was a German Expressionist painter and a founder of the avant-garde artist group Die Brücke. Archy (Ark) was a series, edited by the Czech writer, translator and publisher, Josef Florian (18731941), published between 1926 and 1948. The present, 12th issue includes writings from Louis Massignon (18831962), Miguel de Unamuno y Jugo (18641936), and W. B. Yeats (18651939) Extremely scarce, we could trace copies only in the holdings of the Czech National Library in Prague, and in the Moravian Library in Brno. . Folder artistically restored. Unupened. A few pages yellowed. Inside clean. Overall in very good condition. In publisher's illustrated grey folder, printed in red.
