A pair of matching Mashiko Chawan [tea cups]. made by Hamada's last apprentice, OYAMA, Takashi. With the typical green glaze, commonly found in Hamada Shoji ceramics. Bottoms unsigned as usual, contained in an excellent pair of matching wood boxes. Inside the top covers are the artist's signature, Hanko 'seal/chop] in red cinnabar. . *** CONDITION: Excellent condition, no flaws or chips. Each Chawan is protected by a saffron-color cloth, then inserted into the box for protection. Typical elegant box and wrapping cloth, excellent presentation. .
