A fine 4 volume set based on the 1956 monograph by d'Hulst of the Flemish painter Jacob Jordaens (1593-1678). "An introductory chapter entitled 'Jordaens as a Draughtsman' describes the history of the estimation of Jordaen's graphic work through the ages and also shows us the development of his drawing style". Profusely illustrated with 636 full page b/w drawings. Slipcase in good, dj's in very good, books in near fine condition.
