Hardcover. Etat : Good. 1st Edition. Square with sound hinges. Previous owner's bookplate on the front pastedown (inside front cover). Pages are unmarked and lightly toned (tanned with age) and all of them show water stains along the edges and a little waviness or wrinkling from water damage. There are white marks along the fore-edge of the front cover where the original dust jacket probably adhered to the cover and then was removed, leaving a scar. A few additional specks to the exterior covers and spine, but mostly clean black cloth. The gilt lettering on front cover and spine is a little rubbed in places but still readable. One cover corner is lightly bumped. Light rub wear to top and bottom edges of the spine. A solid reading copy. Will be bubble-wrapped and carefully packed in a sturdy box to ensure safe transit.
