In sixteen lessons, the reader discovers the significance of failure, perseverance, accurate thinking and a pleasant personality for a successful, healthy and happy life. A must-read for all."(jacket).

At the time, Carnegie was one of the most powerful men in the world. Hill discovered that Carnegie believed that the process of success could be outlined in a simple formula that anyone would be able to understand and achieve. Impressed with Hill, Carnegie asked him if he was up to the task of putting together this information, to interview or analyze over 500 successful men and women, many of them millionaires, in order to discover and publish this formula for success. As part of his research, Hill claimed to have interviewed many of the most successful people of the time in the United Stated. In the acknowledgements section of his 1928 multi-volume work "The Law Of Success" Hill listed 45 of those studied by him during the previous twenty years, "the majority of those men at close range, in person", like the three to whom the book set was dedicated THE LAW OF SUCCESS was first issued in 1925 -actually in the form of a set of 16 separate smaller booklets-by Napoleon Hill. Etat : Near Fine. First Edition. Incomplete. First edition of the incredibly rare 1925 version of Napoleon Hill's Law of Success. An incomplete set with three volumes only [of 15, according to Wikipedia; other sources mention 16], including Lessons 11, 13, 14. Bound in publisher's original black pebbled semi-flexible boards. Very Good+ with relatively uniform wear to each volume, light soiling and heavy rubbing to lettering. Light tanning to contents, occasional corner crease, and slight waviness to Lesson 13. Prior to the 8-volume 1928 expanded edition, Hill self-published this work as found here in fifteen volumes. It is rumored that only 118 sets were originally printed. Volumes from these 1925 sets are extremely rare to market.

HARD COVER BLUE. Etat : Good+. The Laws of Success was first issued in 1925 - actually in the form of a set of 16 separate smaller booklets by Napoleon Hill. According to James Blair Hill grandson of Nap Hill . Nap was President of the Metropolitan B.C from April 1924 to May 1925. On 13 Aug 1924, Nap sent his Laws of Success Course to the printer. These were the text books that he used at the college. And at his Thirteen Clubs movement. He also sent copies of the course to some of the people named in the course. In Nov 1928, Nap rewrote the course as the Law of Success we all know. You have the the Test Book that sourced the 1928 Law of Success. released as a limited edition of 118 copies and was given to many of America's most successful individuals, all of whom had contributed to the book's content (I kept the above information 15 years ago without preserving the source as I never thought I would see them). The true first edition of Napoleon Hill Laws of Success was printed in 1925. The 1925 edition was not mass produced. I have been selling Napoleon Hill books for 40+ years. I've only seen one complete 1925 set ever offered for sale. We offer ten of the sixteen lessons booklets 1925, blue hard cover, 5 x 7. Includes: Lesson 2 - Self Confidence, 40 pgs Lesson 3 - Initiative and Leadership, 42 pgs Lesson 4 - Imagination, 42 pgs Lesson 5 - Action, 42 pgs Lesson 10 - Accurate Thought , 42 pgs Lesson 11 - Concentration, 42 pgs Lesson 12 - Tolerance, 42 pgs (detached from text block) Lesson 13 - Failure, 42 pgs Lesson 14 - Cooperation, 42 pgs Lesson 15 - The Golden Rule, 42 pgs Each are bound with three staples in spine (as issued), blue hardcover, thus the heads of the staples are covered. No Publisher indicated on this 1925 edition. However, what is listed is "Napoleon Hill, Director of Education, Metropolitan Business College in Cleveland, Ohio, 1925." Which is printed below the title on the page, which leads me to belive that these were self published. BELOW I HAVE LISTED THE 1928 VERSION AS A COMPARISON. All the general wear, worn extremities, some have vertical creases on covers, age toned pages, and few have tiny amount of pencil markings in margins. This is the original first edition. The quotes contained in this edition are different than the 1928 edition. In the 1928 edition there were ads printed in the rear of the book and the lessons are a little different. The 1928 were published as follows: Vol. 1 - Lesson 1 - The Master Mind Vol 2 - Lesson 2 - A Definite Chief Aim Lesson 3 - Self Confidence Vol 3 - Lesson 4 - The Habit of Saving Lesson 5 - Initiative and Leadership Vol 4 - Lesson 6 - Imagination Lesson 7 - Enthusiasm Vol 5 - Lesson 8 - Self Control Lesson 9 Habit of Doing more than Paid for Vol 6 - Lesson 10 - Pleasing Personality Lesson 11 - Accurate Thought Vol 7 - Lesson 12 - Concentration; Cooperation Vol 8 - Lesson 14 - Failure Lesson 15 Tolerance Lesson 16 The Golden Rule Each of these Vols have about an average of 142 pgs each. We also have the 1928 set of Laws of Success DATE PUBLISHED: 1925 EDITION:
